At The Bravery Foundation, our ultimate goal is to see joy on the faces of our honorees as they participate in our once in a lifetime adventure experiences.

HOW WE HONOR THOSE WHO SERVE

Our organization specializes in creating adventurous outdoor experiences for veterans and first responders, offering opportunities for them to reconnect with nature and recalibrate after their service. Through activities like hunting, fishing, and golfing, the organization provides an outlet for participants to engage with the world around them in a meaningful, healing way. These activities are specifically chosen for their therapeutic qualities, allowing individuals to bond with others who share similar experiences, while also promoting mental well-being and a sense of accomplishment in natural environments.

HUNTING

Hunting excursions create opportunities for bonding in wilderness areas, where they can escape everyday stresses and reconnect with nature. These trips focus on developing skills, teamwork, and patience, allowing participants to find a sense of purpose and accomplishment. The hunting experience promotes emotional healing by offering a chance to reflect, build confidence, and form lasting connections in a supportive environment.

FISHING

Fishing trips provide a peaceful escape into nature, offering moments of quiet reflection and camaraderie. These outings allow participants to unwind from the stresses of service, while practicing patience and mindfulness. The focus is on mental clarity, relaxation, and skill-building, allowing participants to take pride in their progress while enjoying the outdoors and forming meaningful connections with others who understand their journey.

OUR JOURNEY

Nick relocated to Dallas, Texas, in 2016 and engaged with numerous veteran-support groups, given the state’s substantial military population. He eventually launched his own non-profit to fund organizations he admired. Nick was disappointed by non-profits not allocating all raised funds to their intended causes.

He is dedicated to ensuring every dollar benefits those in need, personally covering operational costs to prevent fund misuse. Veterans deserve a quality post-war life, though it can be difficult. Civilians should support their “recalibration” however possible, even if we can’t fully understand their experiences. Some veterans find lasting benefits; others only temporary relief. Either are an easy way that we can support those who serve and give back.
